No — we work on a no fix, no fee basis, so there's no diagnostic fee if you decide not to proceed. As mentioned, only return postage would apply if we're unable to repair your part or you choose not to proceed.
Yes — we advise all customers to send their unit using a tracked or insured delivery service. The unit must be packed in a proper, sturdy box to prevent further damage in transit. Please also include your contact information inside the box (phone number, email, and return address) so we can process your repair smoothly.
Yes — before removing your unit, please make a note of your radio code if your vehicle has one, as you may need to re-enter it after the repair.
If you're comfortable doing so, you're welcome to remove the unit yourself. If not, a local garage can usually help with removal, or you can bring your vehicle to us directly. Alternatively, get in touch and we can check whether we have a network partner in your area who can assist.
In most cases, your settings are retained. However, if the unit requires reflashing or a software reinstall as part of the repair, you will lose all previous settings, presets, and paired devices.
To provide the right component, we need the part number from the specific part that needs replacing. A VIN number alone doesn't guarantee compatibility. In some cases, the unit needs to be removed from the car and stripped down to access the part — in that situation, you can send the unit to us for a free inspection and quotation.
